What types of problems do you solve or what solutions do you provide?

As a mediator, I can help a parting couple or a couple already divorced, with children, mediate any issue that they can not resolve on their own. Some parting couples will come to me needing to work through one issue or many. 

I encourage parting couples to come to me prior to getting an attorney. Instead of paying two attorneys, they can work with me to help guide them through all decisions they will need to make in order to finalize a divorce. If there are children involved, I can also help guide the couple into a productive, respectful, communication style as they move forward. Healthy communication between parents is essential for children who are about to live or do live in two homes. 

What is your background?

I have been mediating with families for twenty-one years as a School Social Worker. I was officially trained and certified with the State of Minnesota as a Mediator and Parenting Time Expeditor in July of 2019. Rodgers Mediation LLC was started shortly after. 

Why do you do what you do?

I know first hand about divorce and how tough it can be emotionally and financially.  I want to help divorce couples realize that, as a trained third party, I can help them work through a difficult time and make it less of an emotional and financial burden. This is especially true if there are children involved. I am aware of the toll divorce can take on children if not done thoughtfully.
